Dentures are specially-made “teeth” that are used in place of missing teeth. They perform the same functions as regular teeth; the only difference is that they are removable. A partial denture is used when only a few teeth are missing. They can be placed over some natural teeth or on a crown for support. These can be either upper or lower dentures. These are similar to bridges but removable. You can also find flexible dentures in both full and partial types.
Although dentures aren’t the same as your original teeth and take some time to get used to, advancements in dentistry have made them very comfortable and natural looking. Dentures can also be implant supported/ retained for a better fit and function.
